GED preparation · South Africa

An honest path to a recognised high school equivalency.

The GED is a foreign high school equivalency credential. X10diD Learning prepares South African learners for its four subjects with course material that reinforces the CAPS-aligned core skills you already know: Maths, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.

What it can and cannot do for you matters, so we say it plainly on this page. No inflated promises, just a clear course and a clear-eyed view of the next step.

What the GED is, and what it is not

South African learners deserve straight answers about foreign qualifications. Here is the honest position, and the questions you should be asking.

A foreign credential, assessed fairly

The GED is a high school equivalency credential from outside South Africa. It is not the NSC, and it is not "the same as" matric.

How SAQA compares it

SAQA has evaluated the NSC at NQF Level 4 as the GED’s closest comparable South African qualification. That evaluation guides how others read it.

No automatic exemption

Completing GED does not guarantee matriculation exemption, university admission, or any specific next step. These are decided case by case by the institutions involved.

Verify your own path

Before you commit, check directly with the employer, college, university, or professional body you are aiming for. We will help you ask the right questions.

Four subjects, familiar ground

Skills you already know, sharpened for the GED

The GED tests four subjects. Our course reinforces the CAPS-aligned core skills South African learners meet at school, then trains the specific question styles the GED expects.

Start with clear eyes.

If the GED fits your plan, we will prepare you properly for all four subjects. If you are unsure whether it fits, start by verifying with the institution or employer you have in mind, and read our terms so you know exactly what we do and do not claim.
